I am more into fake oil painting these days than vector. I guess that is because I do less art in illustrator at work since I stared at my new job. Despite the fact that my new job gives me almost no spare time in the evenings I am now planning and dreading a new project... to write and dra a comic/manga. I am not sure if I can do an actual manga when I live in Sweden, is it really manga if I am swedish and not of asian decent?

Well, I am thinking about it....

I am a Deviant Art addict, I browse it looking for new stuff a couple of times every week and I check my Deviant Watch almost every day. But this weekend I was away for a wedding (a beautiful wedding by the way) so you can imagine the chock I got when I logged on to dA and look at my messages and see that not only can I get rid of “20 years of wrinkles - as seen on CNN”, I have 3,035 messages. Last time I checked, that was more than my pageviews...

My reaction to this was something like WFT?OMFG!whatisgoingon??? I had been gone for four days, what had happened? Had I over the weekend been added to so many collections that the numbers, somehow, had added up? Or maybe pigs had started flying and ragnarok was upon us?

It didn’t take very long to discover that I had been a Daily Deviation feature, I still can’t really believe it though. I mean, that happens to other people. I never even considered that it might happen to me, not yet anyway.

I am so happy though. And confused, and more happy, and amazed and grateful. Thank you so much to Villesgodgirl who suggested me, and to Ikue who featured me.

I will try to not let it get to my head... But so many comments telling you that you are amazing can do terrible stuff to your ego.

I just uploaded a scrap, a sketch from a concept that didn't happen. I did it beacuse I am still so proud about the project that was made for, a real client, and a really big one. And they loved our concept. Now I work for a much smaller one and everything is shit. Feel very crappy about it and I am ready to slap the client.

Enjoy my cat and the flying goldfish since I can't show you any final designs. And the cat is rather cute I think.

Well, well, well, I have made my first contest entries here on dA. My very first contest, fancy that. It's been lots of fun so far, I had grand plans of making one picture of Amaterasu and one of some demon for variation (too much Ammy art in this contest already) but time ran out. School came in the way as usual. School and for once some freelance work as well, which is great of course. Don't imagine it will pay much, but it is for a good cause (if helping aspiring actors is a good cause, there are moments when I'm not sure).

I think I will enter more contests in the future, it's a good push to get some art out.
